The LXG series capacitors are large capacitance, snap-in capacitors similar to the standard KMH but have an extended rated lifetime of 5,000 hours at 105°C with the rated ripple current applied. The standard mounting style for the LXG series is a snap-in, 2-terminal configuration. Alternate 3, 4, and 5 straight pin terminal styles are available upon request.

The LXG series capacitors are non-solvent proof and are not recommended when halogenated cleaning solvents are used.

The special order TXG series is also available in selected capacitance values and voltages up to 250V with an an extended lifetime of 10,000 hours at 105°C. The TXG capacitors are an epoxy end-sealed solvent proof series. Refer to the Mini-Glossary for recommended cleaning conditions.

Low Temperature Characteristics At 120Hz, capacitance at the rated minimum operating temperature shall not be less than 70± of the specified value at +20°C.

At 120Hz, impedance (Z) ratio between the -25°C or -40°C value and +20°C value shall not exceed the values given below.

Load Life The following specifications shall be satisfied when the capacitors are restored to +20°C after subjecting them to the DC rated voltage for 5,000 hours at +105°C with the rated ripple current applied. The sum of DC voltage and peak AC voltage must not exceed the full rated voltage of the capacitors.

Capacitance change : <= ±25% of initial measured value
Tan d (DF) : <= 250% of initial specified value
Leakage current : <= initial specified value

Shelf Life The following specifications shall be satisfied when the capacitors are restored to +20°C after exposing them for 500 hours at +105°C without voltage applied. The rated voltage shall be applied to the capacitors for a minimum of 30 minutes, at least 24 hours and not more than 48 hours before the measurements.

Capacitance change : <= ±20% of initial measured value
Tan d (DF) : <= 150± of initial specified value
Leakage current : <= initial specified value
