-55°C to +125°C Extended Temperature Range

The U767D series has a very long life with stable electrical parameters over time as well as temperature (from -55°C to +125°C). With the lowest impedance and ESR of the radial tubular family, the U767D is the capacitor to use for high frequency output filter designs. The 2 and 3 lead radial mount and the axial mount add to the versatility of circuit designs along with an optional epoxy end-seal. The U767D capacitors are supplied with an orange +125°C polyester sleeve.

The U767D series capacitors are available with a polyester sleeve and an optional solvent proof epoxy end-seal required for exposure to halogenated cleaning solvents. Refer to the Mini-Glossary for recommended cleaning conditions.

Low Temperature Characteristics Capacitance change:

At 120Hz, capacitance at -55°C shall not be less than 80% of the specified value at +25°C.

Impedance (Z) change:

At 120Hz, impedance at -55°C shall not exceed 3 times the specified value at +25°C.
At 20k - 100kHz, impedance at -55°C shall not exceed 30 times the specified value at +25°C.

Life Validation Test The following specifications shall be satisfied when the capacitors are restored to +25°C after subjecting them to the DC rated voltage for 8,000 hours at +105°C or 2,000 hours at +125°C.

Capacitance change : <= 15% from initial measurement
ESR change : <= 1.25 x initial specified limit
Impedance change : <= 1.75 x initial specified limit
Leakage current : <= initial specified limit

Shelf Test The following specifications shall be satisfied when the capacitors are restored to +25°C after exposing them for 500 hours at +105°C without voltage applied. The rated voltage shall be applied to the capacitors for a minimum of 30 minutes, at least 24 hours and not more than 48 hours before the measurements.

Capacitance change : <= 10% from initial measurement
